Abstract : A new approach is demonstrated for a line to be associated with the axodes of one-parameter spatial motion. The integral invariants of ruled surface, generated by this line are related to the instantaneous invariants of the axodes. The novel approach is used to reformulate the geometrical properties of line trajectories. Then the distribution parameter and the inflection line congruence are given and examined in detail. Finally, new proof of the well-known formulae of Disteli axis are obtained.
