Abstract : Some polyalkylenepolyamine oligomers will be synthesized from the reaction of different diamines with alkylene dihalides. Chemical structure of the obtained products will be investigated and confirmed by using elemental analysis and some spectroscopic techniques such as IR-, UV/Vis- and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. In addition, average molecular weight of the obtained products will be determined.Thermal stability of such new products will be also investigated with the aid of the different thermal analysis techniques including thermogravimetric (TGA), differential thermal (DTA) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) analyses. Interpretation of the results of the above mentioned analyses one can predict the nature of thermal stability of the obtained products. Furthermore, degree of crystallinity can be determined using X-ray diffraction technique (XRD). For significant applications of these products, the activation energy and some thermodynamic parameters characteristic for these systems should be determined by using thermal kinetic studies beside the order of the decomposition reactions.
